Most do not know the area has the BLUE RIDGE SKI council that is made up of many local clubs. Most clubs have been around a long time. They have solid expertise in arraigning trips and this does take a good bit of effort.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is located in northern Italy in the heart of the Dolomites in an Alpine valley.  It hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics and has been featured in many memorable movies, including “The Pink Panther” and “For Your Eyes Only” with James Bond, Agent 007.   There are 70 ski runs, up to 7 km in length, serviced by 37 lifts, including 6 cable cars and 24 chair lifts.  Half the runs are rated blue (easy), 35% are red (medium), and 15% black, with 95% snowmaking.  Following skiing, we will spend 2 additional nights in Venice (9 nights in all), allowing a mix of skiing, culture, sightseeing, and shopping in Europe.
